Drifter2CRsm4web.jpg

Just Finished

November 11, 2017

This is Drifter, at least for now.  It started out as Eye of the Needle, which was too biblical, then Dancing Partner, too cute, then Take a Bow, too congratulatory and finally Drifter. It has a shifty connotation that works well with the overall perception many people have of the common gull as a garbage picker, a hobo, a rat with wings and so on. Then of course there is the dominant element, a huge chunk of driftwood. This is 26x20" using various light fast colored pencils on rag mat board.

I combined a few of my tricks in this one.  Hope you enjoy!
